Rain Garden Design Workshop
Do you have an area of lawn or another space in your yard that could be converted into native plants? Are you interested in saving money? Come to the rain garden design workshop!
Some of the topics include: How can you improve the water quality in your local streams in your own yard? Why is it essential for the birds, insects, and the food chain to include native plants in your landscaping? What are things to consider when designing a rain garden?
It will be an interactive workshop where participants will learn about plants local to Madison County and create a rain garden design. Volunteers from the Madison County Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer questions. Attendees have a chance to win a free rain barrel.
The workshop is $5 and includes pizza. Register by July 12th by contacting Julia Cumming. The workshop is sponsored by the Madison Conservation Foundation and Madison County Master Gardeners.
