The prairie grass bike trail has more to offer than just great opportunities to exercise. Join the Madison Soil and Water Conservation District July 15th and August 19th at 8 a.m. to experience the natural beauty along the bike trail. London’s Prairie Grass trail located behind the senior center at 262 W High St, London, OH 43140, has several areas designated as native remnant prairies. The flora in this area has been growing annually since the last ice age. See purple cone flower, and butterfly weed, along with rarer species like the Royal Catchfly. “Pit stops” will be taken along the bike ride to discuss different plant species, environmental importance, and historical significance of the environment in Madison County. If you or anyone you know may be interested in participating, please join us at the trailhead no RSVP needed. If you have any questions, please reach out to Broc Sehen District Technician- Wildlife specialist at 740-852-4004.
